Aitchisons Continue to Support Hospice

For the second consecutive year Aitchisons supported the Hospice of St Francis, Berkhamsted ‘Walk with the Stars’ event, which raised over £170,000.

Our support was in the form of sponsoring some 3,500 water bottles which enabled nearly 1,500 women to complete a midnight walk from Hemel Hempstead to Berkhamsted and back.

The sum raised was over £50,000 more than in 2007 and enables the Hospice to continue to help patients and families make the most of every moment they have together.

In thanking Aitchisons for its continued support a spokesman for the Hospice said “such support becomes ever more important as our plans for the future continue to grow and our NHS funding covers around only 20 per cent of our running costs”.
